AppleIIGo is an Apple II emulator used by Virtual Apple II to handle platforms which require Java instead of the ActiveGS Plugin. AppleIIGo 1.0x is written in Java, and is available as a Mac OS X widget, a webpage Java applet, and a mobile phone midlet.
The AppleIIGo Java project is currently managed by Bill Martens and maintained by Nick Westgate. The initial version of AppleIIGo was started and developed by Marc S. Ressl in 2006. Version 1.09 is the current Java Applet version and was specifically written by Nick Westgate for use with the Virtual Apple II website.
The AppleIIGo Emulator is a free download and all source code is available for each version of the emulator.
